Colin M. Jenei
Colin, a shareholder of the firm, graduated magna cum laude from Dickinson
College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 1977, with a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Economics. He received a Juris Doctor
from Dickinson School of Law in 1982. Licensed to
practice in the State and Federal Courts of Pennsylvania
in 1982, Colin also was admitted to practice in the
State and Federal Courts of New Jersey in 2001.
After a tenure with Cordes,
King and Associates in Newtown, Pennsylvania, Colin
joined the Bucks County District Attorney office in
1985. While in the District Attorney Office, he also
maintained a private practice in Quakertown,
Pennsylvania, handling personal injury and municipal
matters.
As Chief of the
Homicide by Vehicle Unit, and later, as Chief Deputy
District Attorney for ten years, Colin prosecuted over
thirty vehicular crimes involving serious injures or
deaths, screened over two hundred vehicular fatalities,
prosecuted homicide cases and obtained eight
first-degree murder convictions. In July 2000, Colin
received a Letter of Commendation from the Bucks County
Commissioners honoring his significant accomplishments
and service to the county.
After retiring from the
District Attorney Office, Colin joined the law firm of
Baldi, Cepparulo, and Williams, handling criminal
litigation, personal injury and municipal work. Now a
partner in Baldi and Jenei, P.C., he appears regularly
in the State and Federal courts of Pennsylvania and New
Jersey on criminal and civil matters and continues to
represent applicants before municipal boards and
councils.
Recognized as a
Pennsylvania authority in the field of homicide by
vehicle and driving under the influence laws, Colin has
lectured for the District Attorney Association, the
Pennsylvania State Police, the Bucks County Police
Training Facility, and Criminal Attorney organizations.
He also has lectured at many schools including Bucks
County Community College, Temple University and Penn
State University.
Originally from
Yardley, Pennsylvania, he is a former member of the
Yardley Lions and the Doylestown Jaycees. Colin
currently lives with his wife, Karen, and their two
children in Plumstead Township, Bucks County. Colin is
active in his church, singing in the choir and is a
member of the Sertoma. Occasionally, he finds time to
play a part in a local theater production, most recently
as Pseudolus in Town and Country Players’ production of
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
