Robert O.
Baldi
Mr. Baldi is the founding
shareholder of Baldi and Jenei, P.C. He received a Bachelor of
Arts degree from Lycoming College in 1971 and a Juris Doctor
from the University of Tulsa in 1974. After a year’s
clerkship with the Honorable Edmund V. Ludwig of the Bucks
County Court of Common Pleas, he served as a trial attorney
for the Bucks County Public Defender Office. In 1981, he
entered private practice, opening his own law firm in New
Hope, Pennsylvania.
With nearly thirty years
experience, he represents both Plaintiffs and Defendants in
a wide range of matters. Litigation has included personal
injury/wrongful death claims, civil rights actions, contract
disputes, sexual harassment, age discrimination, and
Americans with Disability Act claims, defamation actions,
federal civil RICO claims, products liability suits, and
claims under the IDEA.
Mr. Baldi represents
individuals as well as businesses and government entities.
His clients have included former United States Congressman James C.
Greenwood of the 8th Congressional District, Pennsylvania
State Representative Charles T. McIlhinney, Jr. of the 143rd
District, Rice’s Market, The New Hope - Ivyland Railroad,
the State of Connecticut, the County of Bucks and many
municipal bodies throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. Since
1979, Mr. Baldi has served as Solicitor for the Bucks County
Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation, and he
frequently is selected to chair panels arbitrating insurance
disputes and alternative dispute resolutions. He appears
regularly in Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia County
Courts of Common Pleas and the Federal District Courts for
the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
As a member of the Bucks
County Bar Association, he has served as Secretary and a
member of the Board of Directors. Currently, he is
co-chairman of the Federal Courts Section and chairman of
the newly established Courthouse Committee. In 2002, he
received the President’s Award in recognition of his
dedication and service to the Bar Association. Mr. Baldi
also is a member of the Pennsylvania and American Bar
Associations, and the Pennsylvania and American Trial
Lawyers Associations.
Throughout his career Mr.
Baldi has been a frequent lecturer for civic, educational,
and professional organizations. Some of the lectures
included a series of continuing legal education
forums on Federal Court Rules and Procedures in
Pennsylvania and "How to be an Effective Advocate Before an
Arbitration Panel."
Mr. Baldi has been an
active member of his community, volunteering time to both
charitable and political organizations. He has served as
President and a member of the Board of Directors of
Probational Volunteer Services, Vice-President and a member
of the Board of Directors of Big Brothers of Bucks County,
and a member of the Board of Directors of Big Sisters of
Bucks County and VITA. He has served on the School Committee
of Buckingham Friends School and the Parent Annual Fund
Committee of George School. He was elected to four terms as
a Republican Committeeman and has served as Treasurer for
the Friends of Jim Greenwood and the Greenwood for Congress
Campaigns from 1980 to 2005. He is a member of State
Senator Joseph Conti’s Finance Committee. Additionally, he
is a member of the Board of Directors of First Federal of
Bucks County Savings and Loan Association.
Mr. Baldi is married to
writer Cheryl Baldi. They have lived in Doylestown,
Pennsylvania since 1975 and have two daughters, a dog and
two cats.
Admitted to the bar in
1975. Martindale-Hubbell rating: AV. Voted by his
peers as a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer" in 2004, 2005
and 2006,
as published in Philadelphia Magazine.

Third Circuit Court of Appeals in Moore v.
Vislosky affirmed a judgment obtained by Rob for
a client in a defamation action. Click

The Bucks County Courier
Times interviewed Rob in an article published on December 16, 2005
concerning liability in connection with holiday parties. Rob is quoted
as saying, among other things, "Parents and employers need to know that if
they serve liquor to underage guests they can be held responsible when the
underage drinker is in an automobile accident and hurts someone. . . .
